The observation: an inadequate market response

The number of bicycle users has been growing rapidly for years, yet very few urban dwellers purchase clothing specifically for their bicycle commute. Why this paradox?

Answer: The perfect cycling jacket doesn't exist, and users are constantly making compromises. They have to choose between:

• a cycling garment that is rarely (or never) stylish
• clothing that does not protect against traffic risks
• a classic jacket without any functionality designed for cycling
• a jacket in which he sweats
• a jacket that does not protect him from the weather

Our approach: identifying your needs

After conducting dozens of questionnaires with our customers, we concluded that there is a specific order to follow in the search criteria for a jacket by the cycling user:

Research #1: Design

Commuting is a short time that requires protection, but the gear we wear to protect ourselves shouldn't dictate our look for the day.

Research #2: Being protected from the elements

The user needs to be protected from rain, wind, cold and heat

Research No. 3: be protected from traffic risks

During the journey, the user must be visible to others and be protected if he falls.

Research #4: pedal comfortably

Comfort means, first and foremost, not sweating in your gear. The jacket must also be designed to facilitate the cyclist's movements as much as possible while on the bike.

1 - your elegance, our priority

Since its creation, VEST PARIS has paid particular attention to the aesthetics of its technical clothing. It is even THE priority criterion!

Our stylistic bias is to offer the most stripped-down design possible and to hide all the features.

It is essential that the customer feels comfortable and desirable in their clothing. This is why the design team is composed exclusively of stylists from major luxury brands: Valentino, Nina Ricci, and Tom Ford.

2 - your protection against the elements, an obligation

VEST PARIS integrates PRO membranes into each of its jackets, commonly used in active sports and high-performance specialist clothing.

Rain and wind

With a performance level of at least 10,000 /10,000 , the membrane used by VEST PARIS fully protects you from rain and cold wind. The level of protection is optimal and exposure can be repeated intensively.

Our jacket is even considered a "wall" by those who have been using it every day on their bikes for years.

Insulation

Cycling means being exposed to sometimes freezing temperatures.

The V1 and V2 models (not the GRAPHENE jacket) include a removable lining equipped with 120 gram THERMORE wadding providing protection against the cold down to -10 degrees without you feeling cramped in your garment.

The heat

This is another advantage of our jackets.
The removable lining allows the jacket to be worn in warmer weather. The membrane offers great breathability, and its technology will prevent you from sweating while you cycle.

Cycling also means finding yourself on slippery or bumpy roads, and running the risk of falling or having a traffic accident. The number of cycling accidents—including various injuries and deaths—is increasing every year.

Here is our response to limit these risks

Shock protection

It is provided by protectors on the shoulders, elbows and back. These inserts are removable and are CE certified.

Their big advantage is their discretion: invisible to the naked eye and so thin that you can't feel them.

A real plus that can save you years of struggle or rehabilitation.

Night visibility

We invented the principle of reversible sleeve tabs incorporating reflective strips.

Either you show them to increase your visibility when you are on the bike, or to hide them once you get off the bike.
