Purpose of the rental : This rental concerns the V007 jacket, a bulletproof and stab-resistant jacket designed by VEST Paris. The jacket is made available to the tenant for a specific period and at a specific price, in accordance with the terms defined at the time of the order.
-
Conditions of Use : The tenant agrees to wear the jacket in accordance with the recommendations provided by VEST Paris. This includes compliance with the size, fit, and usage guidelines. Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in the tenant being held liable, and VEST PARIS will be released from its responsibilities.
-
Insurance and safety : To be covered by the insurance clauses, the jacket must be used in accordance with the instructions. Any improper use (for example, use in extreme conditions not provided for by VEST Paris or wearing the jacket in a manner not in accordance with the instructions) will be the sole responsibility of the customer.
-
Maintenance and Return : The renter is responsible for maintaining the jacket in good condition. Any abnormal deterioration or loss will result in repair or replacement costs. At the end of the rental period, the jacket must be returned within the agreed timeframe.
-

- Ballistic Protection Limits : The V007 jacket is NIJ IIIA certified and is designed to provide protection against common handgun ammunition, such as the .44 Magnum, 9mm, and 357 SIG. A IIIA+ version of the jacket provides additional protection against calibers such as the 7.62 Tokarev and 12mm Brenneke. It is important to note that any ammunition or weapon not listed in these specifications is beyond the scope of protection of the V007 jacket, and the effectiveness of the jacket cannot be guaranteed in these cases.
6. Orders
Any Order will be confirmed when the Customer clicks on the “Place my order” button.
Confirmation of the Order implies acceptance by the Customer of the General Terms and Conditions and the essential characteristics of the Products.
As soon as the Order is registered, a confirmation email summarizing it (products, prices, product availability, quantity, etc.) will be sent to the Customer by VEST PARIS.
To this end, the Customer formally accepts the use of electronic mail for confirmation by VEST PARIS of the content of his order.
In any case, invoices are issued upon delivery.
In the event of an order, the sums paid in advance by the Customer do not constitute a deposit, within the meaning of article 1590 of the Civil Code.
In this case, VEST PARIS must reimburse the Customer within fourteen (14) days of cancellation of the order.
7. Delivery
7.1 Place of Delivery
Delivery is made to the delivery address indicated by the Customer, it being specified that this must be the residential address of the Customer or any other natural person of their choice, if this is clearly specified when placing the Order.
Delivery cannot be made to hotels or PO boxes.
When registering the Client's personal details, the latter must ensure the accuracy and completeness of the mandatory data he provides.
In the event of an error in the wording of the recipient's contact details, VEST PARIS cannot be held responsible for the impossibility of delivering the Product(s).
7.2 Delivery time
Delivery times are indicated when the Order is placed. These are indicative times, expressed in working days and corresponding to the average processing and delivery times.
The estimated delivery time appears on the product sheet at the time of purchase, and in the order confirmation email.
The delivery time depends on the time required to produce the ordered product.
VEST PARIS cannot be held responsible for the consequences of a delay in delivery that is not its fault or is due to an act of force majeure.
7.3 Receipt of Products
Delivery is deemed to have been made upon delivery of the Products to the Customer by the carrier, as evidenced by the control system used by the latter.
Upon receipt of the Products, the Customer is required to check the condition of the packaging of the goods and to report any damage due to the carrier on the delivery slip, as well as to VEST PARIS, within three (3) days by sending an email to hello@vestparis.com or by sending an email using the contact form on our website.
The Customer may, at his request, have an invoice sent to the billing address and not to the delivery address.
Delivery costs are payable by the customer in France and worldwide.
Return costs will be covered by VEST PARIS in the event of withdrawal or in the event of a return due to a lack of conformity or size, except when the delivery address is not located in France.
We will cover the return costs if necessary in France but these are the responsibility of our international customers, except in the case of non-conformity of a product, in which case we will cover the return shipping costs.
8. Legal Guarantee
VEST PARIS is liable for any lack of conformity existing upon delivery of the Product under the conditions of Articles L. 217-4 et seq. of the Consumer Code.
When acting under the legal guarantee of conformity, the Client:
- benefits from a period of two years from delivery of the Product to act.
- may choose between repair or replacement of the goods; in accordance with Article L. 211-19 of the Consumer Code, VEST PARIS may not, however, proceed according to the Customer's choice if this choice entails a cost that is manifestly disproportionate to the other method, taking into account the value of the goods or the extent of the defect. It is then required to proceed, unless impossible, according to the method not chosen by the Customer.
- is exempt from providing proof of the existence of the lack of conformity of the goods during the twenty-four months following delivery of the goods.
This legal guarantee of conformity applies independently of any commercial guarantee that may have been granted.
The Customer may decide to implement the guarantee against hidden defects in the item sold within the meaning of Article 1641 of the Civil Code, which make it unfit for the use for which it is intended, or which reduce this use so much that the buyer would not have acquired it, or would only have paid a lower price for it, if he had known of them.
In this case, he may choose between the cancellation of the sale or a reduction in the sale price in accordance with article 1644 of the Civil Code.
The action resulting from latent defects must be brought by the Customer within two years of the discovery of the defect.
9. Right of withdrawal
Pursuant to Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the Customer has a period of fourteen (14) clear days from the date of delivery of the Order to exercise his right of withdrawal from his Order.
This period runs from receipt of the Products by the Customer.
The Customer must attach to his request for withdrawal a copy of the invoice or any other element allowing identification of the Order in question, and its holder.
Only the Customer identified as such to VEST PARIS may exercise this right, to the exclusion of any other person, and in particular the person receiving the delivery (for example in the case of a gift).
10. Return and refund terms
Any exchange or return must be declared by the Customer to VEST PARIS, via the Site's contact form.
The Products must be returned by the Customer no later than fourteen (14) days following communication of their decision to withdraw.
The Product must be returned by the Customer in its original packaging or any equivalent packaging and in perfect condition (allowing remarketing, having neither been worn nor washed), to request an exchange, refund or credit note without penalty.
If the package is lost or damaged during the return of the product, the cost of the damage is the responsibility of the Customer.
Products that are not returned within the time limits and conditions referred to above will not be refunded or exchanged.
The return address is:
VEST PARIS
159 Boulevard Murat 75016 Paris
FRANCE
In accordance with Article L. 221-24 of the French Commercial Code, VEST PARIS undertakes to reimburse the sums collected under the Order within fourteen (14) days.
This period runs from the first of the following two dates: (i) receipt by VEST PARIS of the returned Products or (ii) receipt by VEST PARIS of proof of shipment of the Products by the Customer.
The refund will be made by crediting the Customer's bank account corresponding to the bank card used to pay for the Order or Pre-Order. If you have changed bank accounts, remember to give your new bank details to your old bank.
11. Applicable law
These general conditions are subject to French law.
In the event of a dispute or complaint, the Client will contact VEST PARIS as a priority to obtain an amicable solution.
The Customer is informed that any consumer may have recourse free of charge to a consumer mediator with a view to the amicable resolution of a dispute with a professional.
Consumer mediation applies to any national or cross-border dispute between a consumer and a professional in the context of the execution of a sales contract or the provision of services.
It is possible to contact a consumer mediator from the list on the consumer mediation website, or to fill out the automated complaint form to contact a dispute resolution body.
The request cannot be accepted by the consumer mediator if:
1° The Client does not prove that he has previously attempted to resolve his dispute directly with the company VEST PARIS by means of a written complaint in accordance with the terms provided
2° The request is manifestly unfounded or abusive
3° The dispute has previously been examined or is being examined by another mediator or by a court
4° The consumer submitted his request to the mediator more than one year after his written complaint to the company VEST PARIS
5° The dispute does not fall within its scope of jurisdiction.
The consumer is informed by the mediator, within three weeks of receipt of his file, of the rejection of his request for mediation.
In the absence of recourse to mediation, the courts of the jurisdiction of the company's registered office will have jurisdiction.
