Shoulder width

Place the tape measure from one end to the other, just above the shoulder blades.

Chest

Place the tape measure around your back, under your arms and across your chest at the widest point, keeping it horizontal. It should be adjusted without being tight.

Sleeve length

With your arm extended to the side, measure from the tip of the shoulder to the base of the thumb.
