Here, every article is written by those who believe that the motorcycle jacket can be reinvented: welcome to VEST PARIS , where elegance, safety and innovation meet discreetly.
Since its creation in 2012, VEST PARIS (formerly Inventive Citi) has offered its users the best in motorcycle protection. That's why we're going to explain the advantages of SAS TEC motorcycle protection. The "best" in our opinion is an uncompromising combination of three criteria that will make your day better: quality of protection, lightness, and discretion.
These removable protectors are installed on the elbows, shoulders and back.
In short, when they wear our jackets on their motorcycle, our riders must feel highly protected. And when they get off, their VEST PARIS model must be as light and stylish as a classic jacket. The protections blend into the garment.

VEST PARIS, years of experience in motorcycle protection
Over the past 12 years, we have worked with the American XRD and then with the English D3O, but since 2020 we have been equipping our jackets with German protections, those from the manufacturer SAS TEC.
A choice that can be explained by the incredible level of performance and innovation of the materials offered. Here is the presentation.
Viscoelastic memory foam
The protections integrated into VEST PARIS technical jackets are made of soft viscoelastic foam with very good shock absorption values: residual force approximately 18 kN (standard, level 2: 20 kN).
After an impact or any type of deformation, this foam quickly returns to its initial shape.
How does it work?
Unlike rigid bumpers, polystyrene bumpers or many other shock-absorbing materials, SAS-TEC foam responds quickly and without delay, even to minor impacts.
Energy absorption is almost linear, which keeps impact forces on the human body low.

Innovation: Adaptive Absorption
The air incorporated into the foam cells causes gradual absorption. The protection remains flexible in the event of slowly increasing forces, but in the event of a rapid and violent impact, the resistance of the foam increases with speed.
Compliant with multiple impacts
Unlike many other shock absorbing materials (such as polystyrene foam (EPS), silicone or lower quality foam), this PU foam is multi-impact compatible.
This means that impacts or high pressures do not destroy the protection even when the same area is hit repeatedly. The protection retains its full functional capacity.
Excellent residual forces
SAS-TEC's CE-approved protections remain up to 50 percent lower than the legal values of EN 1621, which is the standard to be met to meet European certification requirements.
An ultra-light material
Its absorption capacity is high despite its low density.
For comparison, hard shells or silicone-containing materials like those found in other motorcycle jackets like Revit, Spidi, or Bering are considerably heavier, which significantly reduces comfort but also degrades the style of the jacket.
The density of SAS-TEC foam is approximately 280 g/l, while hard shells have an average density of 1050 g/l.
This is why they cannot be seen or felt in a VEST PARIS motorcycle jacket.
Environmental compatibility
The raw materials used in foam production are partly made from renewable materials, so it's safe to dispose of the pads in your trash.
As the environmental dimension is a determining factor in VEST PARIS's approach and in the design of its technical jackets, it was essential to choose a partner who embraces such a commitment.
Sustainability
10 years is the lifespan of SAS TEC protection. This is also the lifespan of VEST PARIS technical jackets if you take care of them. So if you're careful, you won't have to change your SAS TEC protection set.
In general, some body armor manufacturers only indicate a lifespan of two to three years for their products.
Unique comfort
The high flexibility of the foam ensures exceptional comfort. The level of comfort is especially noticeable in the evening when you have worn your jacket all day.
Lightness is certainly a determining factor, but the flexibility of the material, which allows it to follow your movements without ever hindering them, is a factor that weighs heavily after hours of wear.
Temperature stability
This is certainly not the argument that will determine your choice of purchasing a VEST PARIS model, but the designers of this foam nevertheless insist on this aspect: thanks to a special mixture, SAS-TEC foam withstands temperatures of around 100°C. Conventional PU foam only withstands temperatures of around 60°C without suffering damage.
These temperatures are especially relevant in the event of friction when you slide on the ground after a fall.
Hand wash
The cellular structure of our SAS-TEC foam prevents water from penetrating the material—water absorption is less than 1%. Hand washing is therefore recommended without hesitation.
