The Site enables VEST PARIS to offer clothing products for sale to internet users. Our site operates on an order basis. If a customer wishes to be refunded for an order, the refund procedure will be initiated immediately upon receipt of the returned item.
Placing an order for any product listed on the Site presupposes prior consultation of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale ("GTC") and their unconditional and irrevocable acceptance.
Accordingly, the Customer acknowledges that their agreement with the content of these GTC does not require a handwritten signature, insofar as the Customer wishes to order online the products presented in the Site's shop.
The Customer declares that they have the legal capacity to enter into this contract, i.e. that they are of legal age (18 years old) and are not under guardianship. The parties agree that their relationship shall be governed exclusively by these GTC.
VEST PARIS reserves the right to adapt or modify these GTC at any time. In the event of modification, the version of the GTC applicable to any order shall be the version published online on the Site on the date the order is placed.
2. Products
In accordance with Article L. 111-1 of the French Consumer Code, VEST PARIS presents on the Site the products for sale and their characteristics.
Before placing a final order, the Customer may consult the essential characteristics of the products they wish to purchase.
In-stock offers are valid only while stocks last.
Made-to-order products are subject to a production lead time that varies but does not exceed 28 days.
Product photographs are for illustrative purposes only. Photographs and descriptive texts do not form part of the contractual scope.
3. Prices
Prices shown on the Site are in euros inclusive of VAT and are only valid on the date the order is confirmed by the Customer.
VEST PARIS reserves the right to modify prices at any time without notice, it being understood that products will be invoiced at the prices in force at the time the order is recorded.
Prices do not include international shipping costs, which are charged separately and displayed before order confirmation.
Prices reflect the VAT rate applicable on the date of the order; any change in the applicable VAT rate will be automatically reflected in the prices shown on the Site. Full payment must be made at the time of ordering.
Amounts paid shall not under any circumstances be considered as deposits or advance payments. Prices are guaranteed subject to typographical or printing errors.
Products shipped outside the European Union and overseas territories will be priced excluding tax. In such cases, the customer is considered the importer of the products. Any customs duties, import taxes or other charges applicable due to the geographical destination of the products shall be borne by the Customer, who is advised to carry out the necessary checks and formalities prior to confirming their order.
4. Payment
Products are payable in euros on the day the order is placed.
Payment is accepted by credit or debit card only.
For card payments, the Customer provides their card number, expiry date and the security code on the back of their card.
To ensure the security of online payments, the Customer accesses a dedicated interface provided by Shopify, which handles the security and recording of the payment instruction.
The Customer expressly acknowledges that providing their card details to VEST PARIS via Shopify constitutes authorisation to debit their account for the amount of the products ordered.
Accepted payment methods: Shop Pay, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay.
VEST PARIS covers any occasional bank charges arising from payment, within the limits of the fees charged by Shopify. All payments are processed via Shopify. Any other charges, for whatever reason, shall be billed to the Customer.
VEST PARIS reserves the right to suspend or cancel any order and delivery in the event of refusal of card payment authorisation by accredited organisations, or in the event of non-payment.
VEST PARIS also reserves the right to refuse delivery or to honour an order from a customer who has not fully or partially settled a previous order, or with whom a payment dispute is ongoing.
Delivered goods remain the property of VEST PARIS until payment is received. Risk transfers to the Customer upon delivery.
Computerised records, kept in VEST PARIS's IT systems under reasonable security conditions, shall be considered as proof of communications, orders and payments between the parties. Order forms and invoices are archived on a reliable and durable medium that may be produced as evidence.
5. V007 Jacket Rental
Subject of rental: This rental concerns the V007 jacket, a bulletproof and stab-resistant jacket designed by VEST PARIS. The jacket is made available to the renter for a period and at a rate determined in accordance with the terms defined at the time of order.
Conditions of use: The renter undertakes to wear the jacket in accordance with the recommendations provided by VEST PARIS, including compliance with sizing, fit and usage guidelines. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in the renter's liability, and VEST PARIS shall be released from any related responsibility.
Insurance and safety: To be covered under the insurance clauses, the jacket must be used in accordance with the instructions. Any non-compliant use (e.g. use in extreme conditions not foreseen by VEST PARIS, or wearing the jacket contrary to instructions) shall be the sole responsibility of the customer.
Maintenance and return: The renter is required to keep the jacket in good condition. Any abnormal deterioration or loss will result in repair or replacement charges. At the end of the rental period, the jacket must be returned within the agreed timeframe.
Liability: The renter remains responsible for the use of the jacket and for keeping it in good condition. In the event of damage resulting from non-compliant use, VEST PARIS reserves the right to charge the corresponding costs.
Ballistic protection limits: The V007 jacket is NIJ IIIA certified and is designed to provide protection against common handgun ammunition, including .44 Magnum, 9mm and .357 SIG. A IIIA+ version offers additional protection against calibres such as 7.62 Tokarev and 12mm Brenneke. It is important to note that any ammunition or weapon not listed in these specifications exceeds the protection scope of the V007 jacket, and its effectiveness cannot be guaranteed in such cases.
6. Orders
An order is confirmed when the Customer clicks the "Place my order" button.
Order confirmation implies the Customer's acceptance of the GTC and the essential characteristics of the products.
Upon registration of the order, a confirmation email summarising the order (products, prices, availability, quantities, etc.) will be sent to the Customer by VEST PARIS. The Customer formally accepts the use of email for order confirmation.
Invoices are provided upon delivery.
In the event of an order, amounts paid in advance by the Customer do not constitute deposits within the meaning of Article 1590 of the French Civil Code. In such cases, VEST PARIS shall refund the Customer within fourteen (14) days of the order cancellation.
7. Delivery
7.1 Delivery Address
Delivery is made to the address specified by the Customer, which must be the Customer's home address or that of any other individual of their choosing, provided this is clearly stated at the time of ordering.
Delivery cannot be made to hotels or PO boxes.
When registering personal details, the Customer must ensure the accuracy and completeness of the mandatory information provided. VEST PARIS shall not be held liable for failure to deliver due to errors in the recipient's details.
7.2 Delivery Times
Delivery times are indicated at the time of ordering. These are indicative timeframes, expressed in business days, corresponding to average processing and delivery times.
The estimated delivery time is shown on the product page at the time of purchase and in the order confirmation email. Delivery time depends on the production time required for the ordered product.
VEST PARIS shall not be held liable for delays in delivery that are beyond its control or due to force majeure.
7.3 Receipt of Products
Delivery is deemed complete upon handover of the products to the Customer by the carrier, as confirmed by the carrier's tracking system.
Upon receipt, the Customer must check the condition of the packaging and report any damage caused by the carrier on the delivery note, and notify VEST PARIS within three (3) days by emailing hello@vestparis.com or via the contact form on the Site.
The Customer may request that the invoice be sent to the billing address rather than the delivery address.
Shipping costs are payable by the customer for deliveries in France and worldwide.
Return shipping costs are covered by VEST PARIS in the event of withdrawal or return due to non-conformity or incorrect sizing, except where the delivery address is outside France.
Return shipping within France is covered by VEST PARIS where applicable, but is the responsibility of international customers, except in cases of non-conformity, in which case VEST PARIS covers the return shipping costs.
8. Legal Guarantee
VEST PARIS is liable for conformity defects existing at the time of delivery of the product, under the conditions set out in Articles L. 217-4 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
When invoking the legal guarantee of conformity, the Customer:
- Has a period of two years from delivery of the product to take action
- May choose between repair or replacement of the item; in accordance with Article L. 211-19 of the Consumer Code, VEST PARIS may not however proceed according to the Customer's choice if that choice entails a manifestly disproportionate cost, and must proceed by the alternative means unless impossible
- Is not required to prove the existence of the conformity defect during the twenty-four months following delivery
This legal guarantee of conformity applies independently of any commercial guarantee that may be granted.
The Customer may also invoke the guarantee against hidden defects within the meaning of Article 1641 of the French Civil Code, which render the item unfit for its intended use or diminish its use to such an extent that the buyer would not have purchased it, or would have paid less for it, had they known of the defect.
In this case, the Customer may choose between cancellation of the sale or a reduction in the sale price in accordance with Article 1644 of the French Civil Code.
Any action based on latent defects must be brought by the Customer within two years of discovering the defect.
9. Right of Withdrawal
Under Articles L. 221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has fourteen (14) clear days from the date of delivery of the order to exercise their right of withdrawal.
This period runs from the Customer's receipt of the products.
The Customer must attach to their withdrawal request a copy of the invoice or any other document identifying the relevant order and its holder.
Only the Customer registered as such with VEST PARIS may exercise this right, to the exclusion of any other person, including the delivery recipient (e.g. in the case of a gift).
10. Returns and Refund Procedures
Any exchange or return must be declared by the Customer to VEST PARIS via the Site's contact form.
Products must be returned by the Customer no later than fourteen (14) days following communication of their decision to withdraw.
The product must be returned in its original or equivalent packaging, in perfect condition (suitable for resale, unworn and unwashed), in order to request an exchange, refund or credit note without penalty.
If the parcel is lost or damaged during return, the cost of the damage is borne by the Customer.
Products not returned within the above timeframes and conditions will not be refunded or exchanged.
Return address:
VEST PARIS 159 Boulevard Murat, 75016 Paris FRANCE
In accordance with Article L. 221-24 of the French Commercial Code, VEST PARIS undertakes to refund all amounts received for the order within fourteen (14) days.
This period runs from the earlier of: (i) VEST PARIS's receipt of the returned products, or (ii) VEST PARIS's receipt of proof of shipment from the Customer.
The refund will be credited to the Customer's bank account corresponding to the card used for payment. If you have changed bank accounts, please provide your new bank details to your previous bank.
11. Applicable Law
These general terms and conditions are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute or complaint, the Customer shall first contact VEST PARIS to seek an amicable resolution.
The Customer is informed that any consumer may freely refer a dispute with a professional to a consumer mediator for amicable resolution.
Consumer mediation applies to any national or cross-border dispute between a consumer and a professional in the context of the performance of a sales or service contract.
A mediator may be contacted via the list available on the consumer mediation website, or by completing the automated complaint form to contact a dispute resolution body.
A request will not be accepted by the consumer mediator if:
- The Customer has not first attempted to resolve the dispute directly with VEST PARIS by written complaint
- The request is manifestly unfounded or abusive
- The dispute has previously been examined or is currently being examined by another mediator or a court
- The consumer submitted their request more than one year after their written complaint to VEST PARIS
- The dispute falls outside the mediator's jurisdiction
The consumer will be informed by the mediator, within three weeks of receipt of their file, if their mediation request is rejected.
Failing recourse to mediation, the courts of the jurisdiction where the company's registered office is located shall have jurisdiction.
12. Data Protection
In order to provide the services offered on the Site, VEST PARIS may process personal data concerning you, including data collected during registration or when placing an order.
Customer information and data are strictly necessary for order management, the performance and monitoring of commercial relationships, and for internal statistical purposes.
Such data may be transmitted to companies involved in these relationships (such as those responsible for executing services and orders) for their management, execution, processing and payment.
Data is also retained for security, identification, service improvement and personalisation purposes.
The Customer has the right at any time to access, rectify and object to their personal data, under the conditions provided by the French law of 6 January 1978.
To do so, simply send an email to hello@vestparis.com and the necessary steps will be taken immediately.
The Customer may receive offers from VEST PARIS relating to products or services similar to those previously ordered, or newsletters. They may at any time opt out free of charge for the future, in accordance with the instructions provided in each communication.
For more information on the use of your personal data by VEST PARIS, please consult our privacy policy.
